Immersive interactive audiovisual installation investigating the boundaries between nature, humanity & technology towards a symbiotic future.

Invitation Visual for the Exhibition
Invitation Visual for the Exhibition

The future is in learning how to collaborate with living systems and acknowledging that life does not begin and end with human interventions. A multimedia exhibition by NeoMeta (Julia Shu) and Jane Scobie.

This collaborative space forms around a proto-linguistic dialogue between human and non-human agents. The work offers possibilities for growing and living on different time scales, as well as creating new forms of interspecies, multisensory communication. Join us at BOTH Gallery for a unique showcase that explores the boundaries between nature, humanity and technology and works experimentally towards a symbiotic future.

Private View & Launch of Others.place: Tue 17th, 6 PM-8 PM

The exhibition is open Wed 18th to Sat 21st, 12-6 PM on Sun 22nd, 12-4 PM. We are wrapping up our show with a performance and a walk around Highgate Woods at 4 PM on Sunday.

MetaNature is conceived as an opportunity to extend conversations about how to collaborate with living systems and grow multi-species communities. Each day, we will invite a group of artists to share their practice and ideas on ways to learn and communicate with intelligent, adaptive and resilient others. These conversations will be recorded and posted on www.others.place

On Sunday, 22nd, artists Jane Scobie and NeoMeta (Julia Shu) will present their practice. We launched Others.place platform to build communities and restore ecologies that become a Home for many Other Species. It is a multimedia space for interspecies transdisciplinary eco-talks, new media works and more curated into a digital and physical zine(s).
